Info:
To begin with, the Hi-Torque Denso starters are not a permanent magnet gear reduction unit wherein the inner gear is often made of some form of plastic. Real copper field windings are used, as opposed to magnets that are subject to being easily displaced the first time an operator or mechanic gives the starter a sharp blow with a hammer.
  • Advanced gear reduction design. The 4.44 to one gear ratio enables the engine to get through the compression stroke evenly and without hesitation.
  • Five (5) full roller bearing construction. Almost all OEM starters implement a bushing on each end of the armature. These Denso units incorporate a bearing on each end of the armature, a roller bearing on the intermediate gear and a bearing on each end of the drive assembly.
  • Heat resistant solenoid design. OEM solenoid is most often tightly encapsulated in steel. This steel construction minimizes its ability to dissipate heat. The Denso solenoid is constructed of Aluminum, which dissipates heat much more rapidly than steel. Further it is equipped with a very small vent hole. Thirdly and equally important, there is equivalent to a half-cup volume of air inside the solenoid housing, so essentially the solenoid breathes.
  • Soft entry. The design of the solenoid and drive assembly is unique within the industry. The cam of the drive assembly, which the pinion is coupled is equipped with a helix spline. The shaft passing through this cam will twist ever so slightly thus preventing the teeth of the pinion to strike the teeth of the flywheel directly. The pinion will begin to turn after the solenoid has been excited and fully extended into the flywheel.

* Dear Valued Customer,

The introduction of these units from us comes with greatly anticipated excitement because, in our opinion, Denso starter motors have retained their strength and durability for prolonged periods of time in comparison to all other starter motor manufacturers. That includes factoring in all of the downsizing and cost savings this market has seen over the last 40 years.

These units come to you as complete OEM Denso rebuilds, except for the D.E housing adapter plates and gears.

Up to this point in time our supplier has been telling us that his warranty rate has been ½ of 1 percent in the first six months of service. After opening these starters for inspection, putting out test units and knowing the basic construction design of them, we have the same confidence in the dependability of these starter motors.

Call us for a quote.

We, at Newton's Electric, feel that there is a very good value to these new replacement units. We also believe there should be close to a 3 to 1 ratio, meaning that for every one of these units installed, you would use 3 of the conventional starters that they are replacing. We feel that there are two main reasons for this. The OEM parts needed for rebuilding conventional starters are not readily available at acceptable pricing and quantities and, to put it simply, the Nippondenso units are constructed with much more durability in mind.

When these new rebuilt units do finally come back in for service exchange, we will have a Denso line set up to rebuild with all the same OEM service parts that they were originally built with. Newton's is also beginning to incorporate OEM Denso parts into all Denso starters built by us. Current prices may be subject to changes, as these rebuilds include the OEM parts.

Lastly, now that you own your own conversion core, we will be offering these rebuilt units with rebuilt drives and/or with new OEM drives. The pricing may be slightly higher, but still very economical. We definitely feel it is good value for the money.

Beware!! There are several replacement knock-off copies of these units in circulation, so don't be fooled by cheap aftermarket imitations. Make sure you ask for genuine Nippondenso parts. Buyer Beware!!

Sincerely,
Doug Newton
